I currently have the 1800 mah NIMH but eventually want to upgrade to Lipo
Is it also a rapid charger? My standard charger takes 9 hrs to charge the NIMH battery

the first one you chose will do the trick. not lightning fast , but better than stock
How long for full charge? 1-2 hrs?

How do I know which amp to use?
my current battery doesn't have amps listed

charge at the lowest setting for the charger. 1 amp is safe
when would I use the 2 or 3 amp setting? Just curious

whats the reason you recommended the $50 charger? Is charge time a lot faster?

it has more features ., it can charge ALL of the types of rc batterys. so instead of getting a limited charger , you can spend $10 more and get the only charger you will need . plus yes it will be faster
