Ok. Had a crash yesterday and lost all flight controls and motor.
so I'm thinking it was the speed controller that cut the power to everything during flight.

it was fairly warm yesterday so maybe it overheated. I thought they were just reduce the power instead of cutting off completely so at least you could have flight controls to Land dead stick

it should be a soft cutoff. leaving half motor and all surfaces for a minute or so.
Nope, went out completely.
pulled the battery out and it was almost fully charged still

sorry to hear this. definitely sounds like an esc failure, i would go with the 20 amp. it will give you a little buffer for the heat.
That's what I thought. The higher the amperage capacity the less it has to work and generate heat

Would there be anything with going higher even like a 20 5 AM?
