Everything is included to get flying , it has SAFE which helps a new polite learn to fly
I notice the write-up mentions an instructor...I doubt he'll be able to find one...he lives on one of the smaller islands in Hawaii. How necessary is an instructor?

NOt at all with this plane, it almost has one built in , it has 3 flight modes to teach the pilot,. and a panic button to correct the plane if it gets turned around , saves from crashing
