That set fits the super cub I have one it does not fit the sport cub

That is the one for the sport cub, you have to use the mounting hardware that is included with the Sprot Cub in order for it to mount onto the aircaft. The legs that are included with the floats themselves will not work for the Sport Cub.
Ok I used the landing gear wire but it doesn't look quite wright

There should have been a set of 2 optional float gear mounts.
I do not remember them my cub is 2 years old

You can purchase them they are inlcueded with the landing gear kit sold for the Sport Cub as well.
